A.How to install Debian 6
1.First choose install
2.Select your language(in this guide i use English)
3.Select your location
4.Select your keyboard layout setting
5.Select yes if you want to configure your network, No to skip configuring your network
6.Insert your name server adressess,hostname and domain name as you like.
7.Insert your root password, debian will verify your password once again, input your password again.
8.Insert your full username and username as well as your password
9.Select which timezone you're in
10.Partition disk, there's 4 choices, use guided use entire disk if you don't want to change any partition. The second and third choices is to either don't encrypt the LVM or encrypt the LVM while the manual let us set the size of our partition disk. In this guide i used "Guided - use entire disk".
It might be better to use manual because you could set the the size of swap, boot,etc.
11.This step will format your whole disk after you press enter. So please make sure you use the right partition disks setting
12.It will ask you againt to seperate the partition, Choose the on you need.
13.Choose undo to go back and choose the other choices or enter to finish.
14.Choose yes
15.Select No
15.No again
16.Well, Once more choose no
17.Debian will ask you what you system you need to install. Use space to select.Use select on selected file to unselect, Choose depend on what you need. I personally use debian as web server and I installed the standard system.
18.Install the grub boot loader choose yes.
19.Choose enter to finish the installation
B.How to set virtual IP on Debian
1.Go to Debian 6 network settings.
2.Insert your IP.
Note: Sorry that the screenshot was cropped. The broadcast that i used for virtual ip auto eth0:1 is 192.168.1.255
3.Restart the settings.
4.Finished.
